Informative Graphics, Seemage Partner to Engage PLM Market with Advanced 2D/3D

Informative Graphics Corp. (IGC), a leader in content visualization, secure publishing and collaboration technology, today announced its partnership with Seemage, an emerging leader in the Mockup, Visualization and Publishing (MVP) market. Seemage is headquartered in France, with U.S. operations based in Boston, and offices in Chicago and Detroit. Seemage provides a portfolio of products and solutions targeted toward mechanical design, specifically for automotive and aerospace industries. Informative Graphics will be working closely to enhance Seemage's 3D visualization solution with associated 2D drawings, images and documents. The combined technology will be positioned as a competitive visualization component for Product Lifecycle Management/Product Data Management (PLM/PDM) deployments. Seemage's MVP solution enables users to extract the relevant product and process data from the enterprise repositories and to generate outputs, such as raster and vector images, PDFs and Microsoft Office or HTML documents and clash results. The combined IGC/Seemage efforts will focus on delivering a non-intrusive component that improves collaboration among team members, and maximizes project review efficiency and timeliness, reducing potential design errors that inflate costs or decrease quality. "Seemage has an impressive set of high-end 3D visualization functionality -- such as digital mock-up and interference checking -- that is well-suited for collaboration among design engineers and manufacturers," explains Gary Heath, IGC's CEO. "It's a natural fit to combine 2D technology, which is our strength, with theirs to create vital 2D references to 3D design files. There is already a lot of momentum building behind Seemage's brand and products in the U.S. manufacturing market and we're going to help leverage that further." "Virtualization is now the main driver of productivity gains in manufacturing. Seemage's non-invasive MVP products enable users to access, to manipulate, to reason about and to publish product information," said Eric Piccuezzu, CEO at Seemage. "In manufacturing there is a great deal of 2D content (drawings, design spec documents) that relates to the 3D designs. Our partnership with Informative Graphics will help us deliver a superior, combined 3D and 2D solution to our valued customers."
