Liquid Computing Wins Most Promising Start-Up Award

Liquid Computing Corp., a developer of a new class of scalable server for high performance computing, today announced that its was named the Most Promising Start-Up at last night’s 11th Annual OCRI Award Gala. Liquid Computing also received the award for Best Financial Deal. The OCRI (Ottawa Centre for Research and Innovation) awards recognize the achievements of the region's business, research and academic community. “We are very excited to have received these awards for most promising start-up and best financial deal given the tremendous market we live in. Ottawa has many innovative companies that are developing remarkable technologies,” said Brian Hurley, CEO and President of Liquid Computing. “Our success is the result of the first class team we have assembled at Liquid Computing that has been very dedicated to bring our vision to reality. This past year has been incredible and we expect the next 12 months to be even better as we prepare to launch our product for general availability.” Winning Most Promising Start-Up and Best Financial Deal further validates the company’s vision to bring disruptive change to the computing market by addressing a customer pain point that incumbents in the server industry had long been ignoring. Over the past three years the Liquid Computing team has remained focused on developing a new class of server that would exploit new technologies and apply best practices that had been perfected within the telecom sector. “These awards recognize Liquid Computing’s great achievements and commitment to innovation,” said Jeffery Dale, President and CEO, OCRI. “Every year we continue to see extraordinary leaders and companies achieve greatness that keeps positioning Ottawa as a strong tech competitor.” For more information about the OCRI Awards please visit its Web site.
