LMS is First Company to Join Dassault Systemes' New SIMULIA Partner Program
Dassault Systemes (DS), a world leader in 3D and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions, and engineering innovation leader LMS International today announced that LMS has become the first company to join Dassault Systemes' new SIMULIA Partner Program, which unites simulation partners from the ABAQUS Alliance Program with Dassault Systemes' Component Application Architecture (CAA V5) community. The V5-based LMS Virtual.Lab applications will be available as partner products within the SIMULIA ecosystem. "LMS is always at the forefront of our partners in deploying applications based on our innovative architecture and have taken the lead in delivering products which demonstrate the applicability of V5 to realistic simulation," said Mark Goldstein, CEO of SIMULIA. "As our premier partner for simulation, LMS is an integral part of the SIMULIA strategy. By leveraging the open platform of SIMULIA, LMS will be able to deliver enhancements and new functionality, and expand Virtual.Lab for complimentary applications in structural analysis and functional performance simulation." SIMULIA is the Dassault Systemes open multi-physics platform that supports realistic simulation for a wide range of industries. By significantly reducing the need for the physical testing of products, SIMULIA accelerates innovation and reduces the cost of ownership for realistic simulation, optimizing quality and performance. The SIMULIA partner ecosystem supports the development of the broadest range of interoperable solutions for virtual testing. LMS Virtual.Lab is in production use by manufacturers worldwide for functional performance simulation of their products. The LMS Virtual.Lab product suite, built on a strategic alliance between Dassault Systemes and LMS International, was introduced in 2002 and provides customers with next generation CAE/simulation solutions based on the V5 architecture. Applications include structural dynamics, noise and vibration, acoustic radiation, multi-body motion, fatigue and reliability. The product is already successfully deployed at key international companies, including Airbus, BMW, Boeing, Embraer, Ford, GM, Honda, Mitsubishi and PSA Peugeot Citroen. According to Dr. Jan Leuridan, executive vice president & chief technology officer of LMS, digital prototyping and simulation will deliver the next paradigm shift and breakthrough in the digital development revolution. "The creation of SIMULIA for scientific computing is a clear indication of the leadership role Dassault Systemes will play in realistic simulation, and it validates LMS' strategic direction to build world-class simulation solutions on the Dassault Systemes platform. The extended partnership with Dassault Systemes on the SIMULIA brand, will enable LMS to extend its lead in providing system level, multi-attribute, multi-solver functional performance engineering solutions that have become essential to a world-class product development process. We are excited about this next step in our partnership with Dassault Systemes." Through this confirmation of their strategic partnership, LMS and Dassault Systemes are strengthening their joint effort to deliver further breakthroughs in simulation, empowering manufacturing companies to bring more innovative and competitive products to market faster.
