Intransa Capitalizes on 2005 Momentum in Expanding IP SAN Market

Intransa, the global innovator of network-centric, IP storage solutions announced strong, accelerated adoption of Intransa IP systems and terabytes shipped in 2005. Intransa's 2005 net revenues grew 100 percent year-over-year from 2004, with more than 1.2 petabytes shipped to customers worldwide. According to recent analyst reports the iSCSI market hit $80 million in 2005 and is expected to triple in 2006 with more than 42 percent of small and medium customers anticipated to implement an iSCSI SAN by mid-2006. Simplicity, low cost of deployment and the ability to run a storage network on an existing IP infrastructure has led to the growth of the iSCSI market and a banner 2005 for Intransa -- its most successful, as it closes out its third complete year of shipping IP SAN solutions. Intransa continues to demonstrate superior innovation and has provided a showcase into future 10GbE technology at SNW; and in cooperation with premier scientific High Performance Computing customer Sandia Laboratories, at Supercomputing; and by demonstrating StorControl execution on a blade server platform. "Our strong performance in 2005 is due to rapid customer adoption and a robust business model which we implemented through strategic partnerships and product expansion worldwide," stated Thomas Alexander, CEO of Intransa. "All of this has reinforced our focus on driving growth while we bring better storage utilization and data protection to the masses. And, in 2006, customers can expect to see more partnerships and more exciting products, including new applications designed to simplify management and extend the value of IP SANs."
