INVITATION TO THE FOURTH EGEE CONFERENCE

The Enabling Grids for E-sciencE (EGEE) project would like to invite you to attend the Opening Plenary of the Fourth EGEE Conference and take part in a special lunch where you will have the opportunity to talk to keynote speakers on Monday 24 October. The final EGEE conference takes place at the Palazzo dei Congressi di Pisa and is hosted by the Italian National Institute for Nuclear Physics (INFN). It will be a high profile event with keynote speakers from the European Union and Italian government as well as leading international figures in science and technology. The theme of the conference will be creating and managing knowledge in the scientific community and building solutions which can be exported to industry and commerce. EVENT: Enabling Grids for E-sciencE (EGEE) Fourth Conference DATE: Monday 24 October 2005 TIME: 09.00 – 14.30 (lunch 13.00 – 14.30) PLACE: Palazzo dei Congressi di Pisa, Italy The EGEE project is developing an international computing Grid infrastructure, providing scientists with major computing resources worldwide. To date, EGEE has established a broad portfolio of applications across a wide range of sectors, including High Energy Physics, Biomedical, Earth Sciences, Astroparticle Physics and Computational Chemistry. By the time the conference takes place, the new gLite middleware will be deployed on the EGEE infrastructure, in line with the international standards of the Service Oriented Architecture. The project brings together over 70 partners from 27 countries around the world.
