High Performance Computing Committee of China Computer Federation Founded
The founding conference of the High Performance Computing Committee of China Computer Federation and its first academic conference were held in Beijing recently. The committee will improve the overall quality of China's high performance computers and boost applications of supercomputing. China's high performance computing has reached world advanced level. In June of 2004, the Shuguang supercomputer ranked 10th in the world, making China the third power after the US and Japan.
