ManTech Awarded $11.4 Million Modeling Application Contract

ManTech International Corporation, a leading provider of innovative technologies and solutions focused on mission-critical national security programs for the Intelligence Community and the Departments of Defense, State, Homeland Security, Justice and other U.S. federal government customers, announced today that it has been awarded an $11.4 million contract from the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) to provide modeling and simulation/tactical training applications in support of the NAVSEA Program Executive Office, Integrated Warfare Systems. The multi-year contract has a 15-month base-period, and two option periods for 17 and 12 months. Under the contract, ManTech will expand its interactive modeling and simulation program for the Navy that depicts the locating, identifying, tracking, and engagement of targets, to include a wide variety of platforms and targets. The graphical user interface ManTech has developed permits the user to display all tactical interactions (platforms, sensors and weapons) in a three-dimensional view, a two-dimensional view (Navy Tactical Data System), and tabular, drill down displays of metrics and outcomes. The application will provide interactive training simulations of anti-submarine, anti-surface and anti-air warfare - and expeditionary, strike and electronic warfare - with a user configurable interface to customize training and simulation scenarios. Work will be performed at the contractor facility. "Our simulation program, which has already been used to assess several future weapons and sensor systems, offers the Navy a multi-use application to aid in weapons systems and tactics assessment training. This contract will widen the scope and complexity of tactical simulations available to NAVSEA and the fleet user," said Joseph Barbano, Senior Vice President, Analysis and Technology group, ManTech Gray Hawk Systems. "We are a leading provider of these services to the Navy, thanks to our engineers, programmers and scientists who have more than 15 years experience developing assessment tools and technologies." The NAVSEA contract was awarded to ManTech's Gray Hawk subsidiary, which ManTech acquired last month. Gray Hawk was a diversified, high technology company providing a broad range of intelligence related services to the homeland security, law enforcement, Intelligence Community and Department of Defense markets.
