Intelligent Light today announced the introduction of FIELDVIEW eXtreme, a powerful, scalable, immersive visualization software tool for Computational Fluid Dynamics post-processing. FIELDVIEW eXtreme has been designed to be used by CFD analysts in SGI Reality Center facilities and effectively implements multi-pipe rendering capabilities that SGI has pioneered. Intelligent Light and Silicon Graphics have been associated for years and share many customers around the world. The two companies have been working together for months to bring a solution to market that exploits SGI graphics systems and Reality Center facilities. FIELDVIEW eXtreme is a no compromise application designed for use in environments where performance is critical to productivity. CFD simulations produce huge volumes of results data reflecting extremely complex physics. Top flight CFD visualizations demand tremendous compute and graphics resources to support the interrogation of large, complex models, real-time interaction, and compute intensive interrogation techniques like the generation of iso-surfaces, particle trace flows, and partial surface integration. Intelligent Light has a long history of bringing advanced capabilities to users in a productive and easy to use application. FIELDVIEW eXtreme software is running at customer sites on SGI Onyx systems today and Intelligent Light has worked with SGI to take advantage of the new Silicon Graphics Prism systems which bring SGI's legendary graphics performance to a new level at a fraction of the price of traditional scalable graphics systems.
