PathScale Product Suite to Be Offered With HP Servers

PathScale, developer of innovative software and hardware solutions to accelerate the performance and efficiency of Linux clusters, today announced that its product suite will be available to users and resellers of HP ProLiant servers based on both AMD Opteron and Intel Xeon-based processors. "HP's decision to resell the PathScale EKO Compiler Suite to its HP ProLiant customers is a strong endorsement of the leadership position that PathScale compilers have achieved," said Scott Metcalf, CEO of PathScale. "There is strong demand from around the globe for PathScale EKO Compiler Suite, particularly as a result of real-world application benchmark results that demonstrate PathScale's clear performance advantages for 64-bit Linux systems." The two companies also will collaborate on joint sales and marketing initiatives. As part of this, PathScale compilers will be demonstrated this week in the HP booth at the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) 74th Annual meeting in Denver, and also at the SC2004 SuperComputing Conference in Pittsburgh in November. "A growing number of our customers have been using PathScale compilers to optimize applications on our HP ProLiant servers, and PathScale has been providing compilers for our application benchmarking activities, helping us generate better performance for our customers," said Winston Prather, vice president, HP High Performance Technical Computing. "HP has always been committed to meeting the needs of High Performance Computing (HPC) users, and by offering PathScale EKO compilers we provide a complete, high-performance 64-bit Linux development environment." The PathScale EKO Compiler Suite is immediately orderable from HP and its ProLiant resellers worldwide.
