ClusterVision Expands UK Team with New Sales Staff
ClusterVision, specialist in Linux supercomputer clusters, are pleased to announce an expansion to their UK sales team with the recent arrival of Dr ir Gerdjan Busker as UK Manager and Georgina Gibbs as Senior Sales Executive. The new expansion follows two successful sales quarters in the UK with several large installations of compute, storage and database clusters at UK universities, research institutes and companies. Gerdjan Busker has been involved with ClusterVision from their inception, but will now dedicate himself fulltime to the further development of the UK Market. Gerdjan holds a degree in physics from Delft University of Technology. His PhD research was carried out at Imperial College London, in the Atomistic Simulation Group, where he also lectured. After his PhD, Gerdjan was head of technical development at BiblioTech Ltd, a London-based .com start up. He subsequently joined Inpharmatica as a senior developer of the Biopendium, a large database of protein relations and annotations. Gerdjan is an expert in Linux, MPI programming, Perl, databases and C/C++ and Fortran programming. Georgina has 15 years sales experience within the IT industry, in distribution, VAR and retail. More recently, she has been involved in marketing those publicly funded projects in Grid, Bio and Nanotechnology, working with the HPC Community across Europe. Sales Manager, Matthijs van Leeuwen, said "The UK is a very important marketplace for us and with Gerdjan and Georgina we have a top sales team to further develop our growing customer base in the UK. Gerdjan has a wealth of hands-on experience with different HPC architectures and his experience in MPI programming will be of great benefit in understanding new customer's applications and HPC requirements.
