The MathWorks Packs GSPx 2004 Conference Agenda

The MathWorks Packs GSPx 2004 Conference Agenda with Technical and Panel Presentations. Who: The MathWorks, the world's leading developer of technical computing software for engineers and scientists in industry, government, and education. What: MathWorks engineering experts to sponsor, deliver technical presentations, participate in two panels, lead a workshop, and exhibit industry-leading software tools for embedded signal processing applications. Where/When: The GSPx conference is scheduled to be held in Santa Clara, California, at the Santa Clara Convention Center, September 27-30, 2004. As part of the 2004 technical program, The MathWorks will deliver four technical presentations and a product demonstration workshop, sponsor and chair the Software Defined Radio track, and participate in two panel discussions about the technology challenges facing the embedded software community. Dr. Arun Mulpur will present, "System-Level Verification of ASICs and FPGAs for Signal Processing Applications" as part of the Modeling and Simulation track. * Tuesday, September 28, 10:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m., and 3:30 p.m.-5:00 p.m. in Room 211. The MathWorks will sponsor and chair presentations within the Software Defined Radio Track. * Tuesday, September 28, 3:30 p.m., Room 212. Dr. Arun Mulpur will deliver a presentation titled, "Model-Based Design of Active Noise Cancellation Systems and DSP-Specific Optimized Code Generation" as part of the Modeling and Simulation track. * Wednesday, September 29, 1:00 p.m., Room 212. Dave Jackson will present "Model-Based Design of Video Motion Stabilization for Embedded Systems" as part of the Video track. * Thursday, September 30, 10:30 a.m., Room 203. Dr. Martin Clark will present "Fixed-Point Modeling in an Ultra Wideband (UWB) Wireless Communication System" as part of the Wireless track. Technical Workshop: * Monday, September 27, 1:30-4:30 p.m. Dr. Arun Mulpur will present a workshop titled "Model-Based Design for Signal Processing Systems with Simulink," which will highlight the new versions of the MathWorks MATLAB 7(R) and Simulink 6(R), including their enhanced capabilities for accelerating the design, development, and deployment of signal processing applications. Panel Discussions: * Wednesday, September 29, 10:30-11:30 a.m. Dr. Arun Mulpur will participate in a panel lead by Dave Bursky, Editor-at-Large of Electronic Design, titled "When Off-the-Shelf DSPs Won't Do-New Approaches to Drive DSP Solutions." * Wednesday, September 29, 1:00-2:00 p.m. Ken Karnofsky will join a panel moderated by Gabe Moretti, EDA and ASIC Editor of EDN, titled "The Other System Design Language-MATLAB for DSP Design Automation."
