AuthAgent RADIUS and AuthAgent X.509 are two standards-based technology implementations that allow embedded devices to be authenticated using enterprise-wide databases and ensure the authorized use of key network resources. AuthAgent RADIUS provides a powerful yet simple mechanism to secure everything from VPNs to wireless networks when used in conjunction with protocols that secure the network path. AuthAgent X.509 is an embedded, modular authentication framework based on X.509 digital certificates. It can be used with diverse security technologies requiring digital-certificate based authentication, such as SSL and SSH for secure device management and IPsec for layer 3 security, as well as in custom applications including consumer electronics devices, network and storage equipment.
