Paremus to present at High Performance Technology conference
Paremus Ltd. founder and CTO, Dr. Richard Nicholson, will be presenting a session at the High Performance Technology On Wall Street conference in New York on Monday 20th September. Wall Street and financial markets firms are investing in new technologies that can scale in a cost effective manner. New IT architectures are being sought to replace legacy systems that simply cannot cope with the trading environments of today. High Performance Technology On Wall Street is focused on the core technologies that financial markets players are adopting as they explore new business opportunities and re-engineer existing systems for increased efficiency, scalability and resilience. Specific focuses will include the scalability of IT infrastructure and networks, high performance computing, cluster technologies, grid and blade computing and virtualization environments. Nicholson will be giving a presentation entitled ‘Infiniflow - Throughput Computing for Wall Street’ as part of an opening session covering Powering High Performance Applications on Wall Street presented by Sun Microsystems. The session will present on different architectures for achieving high performance computing in the financial markets, contrasting approaches such as scale up and scale out and Grid Computing using low cost servers to maximize system utilization. Paremus will also be sharing the Sun Microsystems Partners booth (208), platinum sponsors of the event, where Nicholson and colleagues will be discussing Paremus’ Enterprise Grid Fabric platform – Infiniflow. Formed in 2001 by senior IT architects from the investment banking industry, Paremus is an independent solutions company, combining the skills and experience of industry practitioners with recognized thought leadership. Paremus founders believe that next generation business applications will be built upon self-healing, dynamically scalable and functionally evolvable compute fabrics, this providing unprecedented cost, resilience and agility benefits. To realize this Enterprise Grid vision, Paremus has developed Infiniflow™ - The Enterprise Grid Fabric™. Leveraging complex adaptive system design principles to achieve true autonomic behaviour, the Infiniflow™ compute fabric can be implemented to address an immediate business issue, and then dynamically scaled to encompass the requirements of the entire enterprise. The conference, arranged by Lighthouse Partners, will showcase exciting new technologies and architectures, providing real-life case studies from early adopters, as well as thought leadership direction from world class IT infrastructure vendors.
