Magic Earth and Rock Solid Images Announce Resale Agreement

HOUSTON -- Magic Earth, an affiliate of Landmark Graphics Corporation and a wholly owned subsidiary of Halliburton (NYSE:HAL) announced today a third-party reseller agreement with Rock Solid Images for providing ATTRIB3D on Magic Earth's GeoProbe volume visualization and interpretation software. The agreement focuses on joint marketing efforts of seismic reservoir characterization and volume-based visual interpretation technologies. The partnership will leverage the base of market-leading technology already available from Magic Earth and Rock Solid Images, and help to bring new innovations rapidly to market," said Andy Lane, president and CEO of Landmark. ATTRIB3D(TM) brings together an advanced seismic attribute generation tool inside the latest release of the leading-edge visualization and interpretation application system. The application allows customers to easily calculate multiple seismic attributes while simultaneously viewing them in GeoProbe. This is the first in a line of releases that brings the scientific expertise of Rock Solid Images in the areas of seismic features and rock physics to an exceptional visualization and interpretation application. The result should be a seamless experience for the end user and a true 3D work environment for building rock and fluid property volumes.
