Linux Networx Expands Management Team
SALT LAKE CITY -- Cluster supercomputing vendor Linux Networx announced today the addition of six new executives as part of a long-term growth strategy. The plan involves naming Rich Furst vice president of North American sales, Richard Linville vice president of corporate development, Eric Pitcher vice president of product marketing, government, industrial and life sciences, Jeffrey Ferraro vice president of product marketing, enterprise markets, Kathy Chou vice president of strategic relations and Bill Gahan vice president of operations. The expansion of the Linux Networx management team will give the company a solid foundation for growth and continued development of its industry leading cluster products. Pitcher joins the company in product marketing after 15 years with Cray, Inc., and Ferraro brings 20 years of experience in the information technology industry to oversee product marketing in the enterprise markets. In corporate development and partnerships, Linville brings experience as vice president of partner marketing at Novell, while Chou spent more than 10 years with Penguin Computing and Hewlett-Packard before joining Linux Networx to oversee strategic relations. Furst, a VA Linux veteran, worked as a business development manager for Linux Networx before being promoted to vice president of North American sales. Additionally, Gahan managed operations and manufacturing at World Wireless Communications prior to joining Linux Networx.
