In this role, Slominsky will work closely with his European counterparts in the UK, France and with Platform's resellers and partners across Europe. Reporting directly to Robert Gordon, President and CEO, Slominsky is responsible for Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Eastern Europe. With over 15 years experience in the technology industry, Slominsky was most recently a Managing Director at Accelio Corporation (formerly "JetForm Corporation"), a leading provider of web-enabled solutions. Prior to his six years at JetForm, he held various sales management positions at Symantec, Delrina and Polaris Software. "Platform's Grid solutions allow organizations to significantly increase utilization of existing IT assets, while improving availability, security and scalability." As Managing Director of Central European sales for Platform, Slominsky will be responsible for working to leverage strategic partnerships with value-added resellers, independent software vendors (ISVs), and system integrators to deliver Grid solutions across the region. Platform has relationships with all major system vendors, including Apple, Dell, IBM, HP and SGI. Slominsky will also grow the Platform team and infrastructure to match the revenue growth and channel expansion in the region. "Many thought leaders in key industries, such as DaimlerChrysler and Infineon are already experiencing the benefits of our Grid solutions, which harness the power of their infrastructure," Slominsky continued. "With over 10 years of experience in distributed computing, we can deliver customized, integrated solutions across all industries including manufacturing, life sciences and financial services." "Under Merten's leadership, Platform can extend the value of our Grid computing solutions to our Central European region. We are delighted to have him join the Platform management team," said Robert Gordon, President and CEO, Platform Computing.
