SC2002 Advance Program Now on the Web

BALTIMORE -- A preliminary program for SC2002 is now available on the Web at www.sc-conference.org/sc2002/program/. SC2002, the annual high performance networking and computing conference, takes place Nov. 16-22 at the Baltimore Convention Center. Rita Colwell, director of the National Science Foundation, will present the keynote address on Tuesday, Nov. 19. Plenary speakers include Tetsuya Sato, director general of the Earth Simulator Center in Tokyo, and Ron Kikinis of Harvard Medical School. Masterwork sessions will be presented over three days and will cover four general areas: infrastructure, life sciences, computer aided engineering, and high performance computing in commerce. This year's technical program also features 67 paper presentations, 31 full and half-day tutorials, and eight panel discussions, including two on the use of information technology for homeland security. Advance registration is now available from the main SC2002 homepage at http://www.sc-conference.org/sc2002/. The deadline for advance registration and for housing reservations at the conference rate is Oct. 11.
