NEXCOM Announces new products based on Intel Low Voltage Xeon Processor

NEXCOM® today announced the launch of two new products targeted for data centers and other applications requiring a large density of computing power. The HiServer420 and the Nexcom NEX7220AG are available in configurations featuring either the Low Voltage Intel Xeon™ processor or the other Intel Xeon™ processors. The Nexcom NEX 7220AG, is available with either two Low Voltage Intel Xeon™ processors at 1.60 GHz or two Intel Xeon™ processors at 2.0 GHz, with other speeds available on request. The Nex7220AG is based on the Intel E7500 Chipset providing dual PCI-X support and up to 12 GB of DDR 266 Memory in a 6 DIMM socket. It also features the Intel® 82544GC dual Gigabit Ethernet and the Intel® 82551QM 10/100 Base T x 2 Ethernet controllers. The Nexcom® NEX7220AG complies with the Extended ATX form factor specification and can support Ultra 320 SCSI x 2, IDE RAID x 2,via its PCI expansion slots. The Nexcom® HiServer™ 420 offers the highest computing density in a blade form factor with up to 10 blades in a 4U, 19 inch rack mounted system. It can be configured with two Low Voltage Intel Xeon™ processors at 1.6 GHz or one Intel Xeon™ processor at 2.0 GHz This system can provide up to 30+ GHz of aggregated performance. The HiServer™ 420 also features the Intel® E7500 Chipset providing dual PCI-X support, up to 4 GB DDR 266 memory per blade with a total aggregate memory density of up to 40 GB and features the Intel 82546 dual Gigabit Ethernet controller. The HiServer 420 offers PCI-X Slot per Blade for expansion purposes and Remote Management capabilities integrated in the system. “Intel’s leading processor and chipset technology featured in the Low Voltage Intel Xeon™ processor and the Intel E7500 Chipset allow us to bring to market advanced computing platforms to meet customers’ demanding performance requirements,” said Mr. Clement Lin, President of NEXCOM. “Particularly with our HiServer™ 420, we can help customers build high density platforms and keep pushing performance to new heights. With our optimized design, the HiServer™ 420 offers a scalable platform that satisfies the performance needs of tomorrow. Nexcom’s solutions can deliver 50 GHz of aggregated computing power in a 4U platform box, satisfying even the most computing power hungry applications.” “The Low Voltage Intel Xeon™ processor and the Intel E7500 chipset bring server level performance to embedded and communications applications with ever growing computing power requirements. Nexcom’s platforms based on these Intel server-class products can deliver high levels of computing required by customers in market segments that require compact form factors such as data or video blades, ” said Joe Jensen, general manager for the Embedded Intel Architecture Division.
