TeraBurst Network's Optical Switch Tested by the telX Group
SUNNYVALE, CA -- TeraBurst Networks(TM), a leading developer of intelligent, carrier-grade optical switching systems, today announced that The telX Group, Inc., a privately held provider of colocation and interconnection services, has successfully tested TeraBurst's OMS(TM) 2100 optical switch in their colocation facilities at 60 Hudson Street in New York. The successful tests clear the way for possible deployment in support of new revenue-generating wavelength interconnection services for the large number of carriers and network providers currently terminating in telX's colocation facilities. These systems combine low latency wavelength switching with 3R regeneration and performance monitoring, while also offering standardized optical interfaces for interconnection with adjacent systems.
