Intel Promotes One Corporate VP, Elects Two New Corporate Officers

SANTA CLARA, CA -- Intel Corporation today announced that its board of directors has promoted one corporate vice president, Michael J. Fister, and elected two new corporate officers, Gidu K. Shroff and Edward Y. So. Fister, 47, was promoted to senior vice president and general manager of the Enterprise Platforms Group. Fister oversees the group responsible for providing enterprise customers with Intel's server and workstation processors, chipset and board products, in addition to software solutions and services. Fister was elected as a corporate officer in 1999. He joined Intel in 1987. Shroff, 56, was elected corporate officer. He is vice president and director of Materials. Shroff is responsible for the worldwide procurement of materials used to build Intel's products and for outsourcing services for Intel's manufacturing network. He joined Intel in 1980. So, 48, was elected corporate officer. He is vice president and director of California Technology and Manufacturing. So is responsible for the development of next-generation manufacturing processes, Intel's development plant in Santa Clara, Calif, and mask operations. He joined Intel in 1979.
