Intergraph SmartPlant Explorer 3.3 Browses Intelligent P&Ids

HOUSTON, TX -- The Process & Building Solutions division of Intergraph Corporation (Nasdaq:INGR) is shipping the 3.3 version of SmartPlant(R) Explorer. The division announced and demonstrated the upgraded engineering enterprise Web data access and reporting software at the ISA 2001 Instrumentation, Systems and Automation Conference and Exhibition. Building on the accessibility of INtools(TM) and PDS(TM) (Plant Design System) 3D data in the previous version, SmartPlant Explorer 3.3 (www.intergraph.com/smartplant) expands enterprise engineering support to Intergraph SmartPlant P&ID 2.2 intelligent piping and instrumentation data. The 3.3 version enables users to locate, query, filter, search and display graphical or tabular reports on SmartPlant P&ID 2.2 engineering data and includes simplified product media delivery and installation. Through a single, consistent Web interface, users can now navigate among key plant engineering data sources from SmartPlant P&ID 2.2, INtools 5.2 and PDS 7.1 software. The current, accurate plant data accessible from these and other sources through SmartPlant Explorer feed both upstream and downstream engineering work processes for engineering design, construction, start up, commissioning, O&M, plant upgrades and expansions, and virtually any other related concurrent engineering task. SmartPlant P&ID 2.2 is data-centric, integrated engineering automation software for creating intelligent, non-CAD piping and instrumentation diagrams. INtools is the world's leading instrumentation engineering software. PDS is the world's number one integrated 3D and 2D plant design package. An enterprise Web tool, SmartPlant Explorer 3.3 helps further increase the value and utility of plant data while lowering total cost of ownership because it is easy to use, install, configure and maintain. The point-and-click Web display, navigation and reporting functions of SmartPlant Explorer enable users to reduce search time for plant data by 30 to 40 percent.
