SC09 Draws Many New Faces to World’s Premier Supercomputing Event

 

 

Organizers Expect Full House at Oregon Convention Center; More than 275 Exhibitors With 40 Participating for the First Time

 

 

The organizers of SC09, http://sc09.supercomputing.org, the 22nd annual event in the SC conference series, recognized globally as the premier international conference on high performance computing, networking, storage and analysis, are making plans for an impressive turnout as the city of Portland Oregon prepares for the largest industry event in the city’s history.

SC09 will take place November 14-20, 2009, and continues an impressive track record of growth and stability despite the economic recession. The conference will be attended by an anticipated 11,000 researchers, scientists, engineers and computing experts from around the world.

The SC09 technical program will include an exceptional line-up of featured speakers, including an opening address by Justin Rattner, Intel Senior Fellow and CTO, Invited Plenary Speaker, Dr. Leroy Hood, President and Co-Founder of the Institute for Systems Biology, and conference Keynote speaker, former U.S. Vice President, Al Gore.

The SC09 exhibition hall will cover more than 255,000 square feet in the Oregon Convention Center.
