Force10 Networks to Showcase Industry-Leading 10 Gigabit Ethernet

Force10 Networks, the pioneer in high performance switching and routing, will showcase its industry-leading 10 Gigabit Ethernet technology at the Networld+Interop (N+I) 2004 conference in Las Vegas from May 11-13. The Force10 E-Series switch/routers bring the throughput and reliability of 10 Gigabit Ethernet to high performance networking environments such as NTT-ME, NASA and the National Center for Supercomputing Applications. On Wednesday, May 12, Force10's Senior Director of Corporate Marketing Stephen Garrison, will explore the technical boundaries of today's networks during as session titled, "How Far Can We Stretch Our Current Network Equipment?" He will highlight the evolution of today's high performance networking environments and examine the benefits of 10 Gigabit Ethernet technology. Mathew Steinberg of Ample Communications will moderate the panel, which will include speakers from an enterprise end-user and META Group. The session, part of the infrastructure and services conference series, begins at 2:45 pm. Force10 Networks recently announced that its worldwide customer base and revenue expanded to record levels during the first quarter, ending March 31. Building on its fourth quarter market share of 27 percent of the Layer 3 Ten Gigabit Ethernet market, Force10 increased Gigabit Ethernet and 10 Gigabit Ethernet port deployments in Europe, Asia and the U.S. while expanding across a diverse base of new customers, including service providers, educational institutions and companies in data intensive industries. The Force10 E-Series combines unmatched scalability with best-in-class resiliency to bring the network and application predictability required to maximize network performance. Fully distributed hardware and advanced software deliver line-rate Gigabit and 10 Gigabit throughput across all ports regardless of traffic type or condition while built-in hardware redundancy guarantees performance continuity. Force10 will be exhibiting in booth 1035 of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
