Strategic Deals Fuel Software Sales for Oracle

Oracle Corp. announced significant customer wins signed during the second quarter of its fiscal year 2004, the results of which were announced today. Customers continue to choose Oracle software over competitive offerings to thoroughly integrate and automate business systems, reduce total cost of ownership and create a single, global view of their business operations. Increasingly, customers are also selecting Oracle Outsourcing, with its predictable cost model for implementation, license and ongoing support, to more accurately forecast IT spend. Customers can significantly reduce IT costs and decrease the time necessary to resolve software issues by outsourcing the management of Oracle software to Oracle. The growing number of customers that have chosen Oracle Outsourcing include Amerinet, Exclusive Resorts, TelCove and Yuma County (AZ). "We were looking to take the path of least risk, and Oracle Outsourcing made that possible for us," said Bruce Ruberg, corporate controller at Aspect. "Applications maintenance is not our core competency, but Oracle is very good at managing their own applications. With Oracle Outsourcing we expect to see improved efficiency and performance, and increased ROI due to streamlined maintenance costs."
