XOsoft Releases WANSyncHA High Availability Platform
XOsoft, a leading provider of Business Continuity software solutions, today announced that it has enhanced its WANSync business continuity platform. The company's new WANSyncHA boosts information infrastructure high availability with application-aware automatic failover on a global scale, even across multiple IP networks. "WANSyncHA surpasses traditional failover solutions by breaking through geographical, technical and network topology-imposed barriers," says Leonid Shtilman, CEO and Chairman of XOsoft. "WANSyncHA's seamless failover functionality ensures that should a server fail or have to be brought down, service will automatically and instantaneously be picked up by a LAN or WAN-based replica, even if it resides on a different IP network. Businesses retain continued, uninterrupted access to their information resources and employees are able to just keep working." "When disasters strike and critical servers go down, having backups or standby replicas on hand is simply not enough for organizations with continuous streams of mission-critical data," says Dianne McAdam, analyst for Data Mobility Group, a leading advisory services firm for the IT storage community. "XOsoft has taken a unique approach with WANSyncHA, in allowing applications to transfer operations to standby replicas automatically while providing organizations with seamless service availability." The new platform comprises a number of application-aware solutions, specifically tailored for industry-standard database and application servers. WANSyncHA Server provides seamless global availability for application servers of any type, while WANSyncHA Exchange, WANSyncHA SQL and WANSyncHA Oracle provide the highest availability for Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL and Oracle servers, respectively. PdMAIN Corp., a provider of enhanced ERP solutions for the manufacturing, distribution, service and automotive industries, has recently standardized on WANSyncHA as the standard global, automated and instantaneous recovery system it offers its clients. "WANSyncHA was the only solution that would break geographical barriers and allow a downed server to fail over to a replica on the other side of the world, even across different IP networks," says Gerhard Fiedler, CEO of PdMAIN Corp. "We were equally impressed with WANSyncHA's fast and simple installation. No reboots or application shutdowns are required, and transparency is also apparent during operation. This directly contributes to the lowest possible TCO, and makes WANSyncHA extremely appealing to cost-conscious clients who require the highest possible data availability, but do not wish to invest heavily in IT support resources."
