LOS ANGELES, CA -- Ciprico (Nasdaq:CPCI) today announced their 2 Gb storage solution, the FibreSTORE 2210, will be featured in Square USA's exhibit at the Siggraph show. Ciprico's FibreSTORE 2210 provides 400 MB/sec. per enclosure, doubling the data delivery speed of today's typical disk array. This technology meets the demands of a multitude of applications and is particularly suited for film animation, content creation, film scanning and HDTV playback. Square USA, a production company located in Honolulu, has utilized Ciprico storage as the base of the creative technology in their computer graphics and animation for motion picture production. Their outstanding display of animation technology at the show includes high speed, HDTV playback of movie trailers for the recently released "Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within" running from Ciprico's FibreSTORE 2210. Ciprico is reportedly the first to bring a true 2 Gb solution to the entertainment and digital broadcast industry.
