Penguin Computing and Cluster Resources, provider of the Moab family of intelligent workload-management solutions, have expanded their relationship and extended an agreement allowing Penguin Computing to distribute Moab Cluster Suite under the brand name Scyld TaskMaster. The recently released version 3.0 of Scyld TaskMaster builds on the success of Moab version 5.2, providing advanced job scheduling and workload-management capabilities. Scyld TaskMaster includes the industry's most flexible policy engine and a very intuitive graphical user interface. Scyld TaskMaster schedules jobs according to user-defined policies and allows for achieving resource utilization of up to 99% while meeting workload deadlines and other service-level requirements.
