Ethernet Alliance Hosts SFP+ (SFF-8431) Ethernet Plugfest for 10GBASE-LRM, 10 Gigabit SFP+ Copper

Ethernet Alliance invites member and non-member participants

The Ethernet Alliance will host a private interoperability test event (plugfest) at the University of New Hampshire Interoperability Lab (UNH-IOL) in Durham, NH the week of October 19, 2009.

The SFP+ plugfest provides both Ethernet Alliance members and non-members the opportunity to perform interoperability testing and targets interoperability testing of equipment designed to meet IEEE Std. 802.3aq-2006 (10GBASE-LRM) and SFF-8431. The focus of the plugfest will be on testing components and systems relative to SFF-8431 and operation to the 10GBASE-LRM and direct-attach copper cable (10GSFP+Cu) specifications.

If your company is interesting in participating in this upcoming plugfest, please visit the plugfest information page at SFP+ Plugfest to download the registration form.
