eXludus partnership re-engineers EDA application throughput

eXludus Technologies, the leading developer of multi-core system capacity management, virtualization and provisioning solutions, today announced a technology partnership with Runtime Design Automation (RTDA), developers of workflow and workload management technology and products. This technology partnership represents a fundamental evolution and improvement in electronic design automation (EDA) application performance. Multi-core systems provide tremendous parallel processing capacity, but most EDA applications are serial designs incapable of fully leveraging this potential. eXludus’ MultiCore Optimizer software eliminates this obstacle by parallelizing throughput across processing cores – without requiring changes to the underlying serial applications. “Our MultiCore Optimizer software has been designed to fully harness the processing capacity of rapidly increasing core counts in current generation servers – a growing challenge in EDA,” said Benoit Marchand, Founder and CEO, eXludus Technologies. “RTDA’s NetworkComputer (NC) grid computing engine is extremely efficient at filling grid nodes with processing tasks. With the integration of MultiCore Optimizer software, these tasks are then rapidly assigned to any available core resource. The result is unprecedented system performance. Our combined technology solution will be available within about 60 days,” Mr. Marchand added. “Combining our NC grid computing engine with eXludus’ MultiCore Optimizer software provides significant benefits to the EDA community,” said Andrea Casotto, CEO, RTDA. “NC puts grid-level resources to work very effectively and eXludus’ software manages system-level resources with great efficiency. Combined, the two technologies significantly enhance total throughput,” Mr. Casotto concluded.
