PolyServe, Inc. has named DataDirect Networks (DDN) as a distribution partner for PolyServe's File Serving Utility software. The Los Angeles, Calif.-based storage provider will bundle PolyServe's File Serving Utility with servers, fabric and DDN storage arrays into turnkey Windows and Linux file serving solutions and market them worldwide through its direct sales force and channel partners. In addition, DDN will provide customers with full technical support for its PolyServe-enabled deployments. DDN storage solutions target high-performance computing (HPC) applications requiring the utmost in file serving performance. PolyServe's File Serving Utility provides scalability and fault tolerance to complement DDN's high-performance storage. Together, PolyServe and DDN form an attractive back-end file serving solution for HPC applications such as rich media, oil and gas, Internet-based services and electronic design automation (EDA).
