Major U.S. Federal Agency Awards $1.8 Million Contract to Solera Networks
Solera Networks’ Network Forensics Solutions to Bolster Cyber Security of Critical U.S. Government Agency
Solera Networks has been awarded a $1.8 million contract with a major U.S. federal agency critical to the nation’s security. The agency will use Solera Networks’ network forensics appliances as a key component of their cyber security arsenal to enable a rapid response in the event of a breach or attack. Similar to camera surveillance at a bank, Solera Networks helps its customers access a complete trail of evidence for analysis if a network breach occurs, providing the ability for the customer to promptly respond to any event.
“As we’ve seen with recent events in the news, these attacks are going to occur. Prevention is key, but it is critical to know how to respond when they happen. It’s great to work with an agency that understands that network forensics is an essential component of a comprehensive information security strategy,” said Steve Shillingford, CEO of Solera Networks. “Solera Networks was selected because it was the only vendor that could meet the demanding requirements of a large distributed government network.”
Solera Networks partnered with DLT Solutions, Inc., a value-added reseller of industry-leading IT products and services. Collectively, they have been engaged with the agency for several months going through a rigorous evaluation and selection process.
“As a premier value-added reseller, DLT Solutions recognizes the unique needs that government agencies face when it comes to network forensics,” said Brian Strosser, Vice President, Enterprise Data Management, DLT Solutions. “The agency now has a comprehensive network forensics solution able to identify the full scope of a network event and enable swift remediation.”
