CACI Awarded $38 Million Logistics Task Order With U.S. Army

S3 Award Enables Company to Help Deploy C4ISR Systems With New Army Client: CACI International Inc announced today that it has been awarded a new task order, with an estimated $38 million value, under the Strategic Services Sourcing (S3) contract with the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Life Cycle Management Command (C-E LCMC) that CACI was awarded in March 2006. The three-year effort (two base years and one option year) enables CACI to provide technical and logistical business support services to a new client, C-E LCMC's Directorate for Readiness, Force Modernization Division. CACI is one of just seven prime contractors on the S3 program, which has a total estimated ceiling value of $19.25 billion. CACI has now been awarded more than $260 million in S3 task orders in the first seven months of the contract. The Ft. Monmouth home of the C-E LCMC and related commands is the Army's central location for developing complex systems for command and control, communications, computers, intelligence, sensors and reconnaissance (C4ISR). The mission of the Directorate for Readiness is the secure and effective deployment of C4ISR systems, and their ongoing maintenance to stay up-to-date with readiness needs. CACI's team will provide the Directorate with technical program and project management support, and assist with every aspect of logistics. This includes helping to securely field new systems and train users; make certain that system supplies are of the correct amount and type, and are stored at appropriate locations for fast turnaround; provide cost-effective property accountability and asset management; and support the ongoing maintenance of all C4ISR systems to ensure that older systems are continually updated with new technologies. According to Paul Cofoni, President of U.S. Operations, "CACI understands the deployment of C4ISR systems is a complex undertaking that requires not just logistics expertise, but highly specialized engineering and information technology experience. Our CACI team offers the U.S. Army's Directorate for Readiness proven technical excellence combined with an in-depth knowledge of Army needs for secure, timely, and cost-effective support for the Army's readiness goals." Dr. J.P. (Jack) London, CACI Chairman, President, and CEO, said, "C4ISR systems are the enabling technology for a network-centric U.S. Army. They are vital to the information dominance that will secure our homeland and win the war on terrorism. CACI proudly provides comprehensive solutions for C4ISR that range from development through deployment and maintenance, and aligns all our solutions with our government's greatest needs for defense and homeland security."
