CACI Awarded $49 Million Contract With DARPA

CACI International announced today it has been awarded funding to continue providing acquisition, financial, programmatic and scientific technical assistance to the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Information Processing Technology Office (IPTO) in Arlington, Virginia. The award, with one base year and three option periods, and worth up to $49 million, was made under the U.S. Navy's SeaPort Enhanced (SeaPort-e) contract vehicle. With the award, CACI continues to expand its acquisition and program management support business with DARPA and the Department of Defense. The mission of IPTO is to develop the next generation of computational and information processing systems and technologies. These cutting-edge systems and technologies will provide DoD with the highly advanced information processing capabilities necessary for military information dominance. CACI's expertise in program, financial, and acquisition management, along with its scientific technical assistance capability, has enhanced the ability of DARPA scientists and researchers to focus on their primary mission of identifying, assessing, and advancing new technology research and development. CACI's experienced team will continue to provide a broad range of support capabilities to include assistance on individual financial and program requirements, ensuring that projects are completed effectively, efficiently, and on time. CACI will also help manage conferences and industry seminars that DARPA sponsors, which are used to explore and identify new technologies. According to Paul Cofoni, CACI's President of U.S. Operations, "This recompete win reflects the sustained excellence CACI has provided to the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency. With dedication, expertise, and a comprehensive understanding of customer needs, CACI has seamlessly integrated its support role into the agency's daily operations while also satisfying and rapidly responding to evolving DARPA needs." CACI's Chairman and CEO, Dr. J.P. (Jack) London, said, "CACI's dedication to quality client service is one of the pillars of our corporate culture, and one of the reasons why we are very successful at winning recompete business with clients like the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency. We are proud to partner with DARPA to support the development of critical new information processing technologies. The advances resulting from DARPA's research are critical to our nation's ability to succeed in the war against terrorism and to provide the best possible support to our warfighters around the world."
