Computer Associates International, Inc. (CA) today announced general availability of a new integration option for Unicenter Web Services Distributed Management (WSDM) that provides Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) 2000 users with visibility into the health and status of enterprise Web services across .NET and J2EE environments. The Unicenter WSDM Management Pack for Microsoft Operations Manager 2000 enables MOM users to instantly detect any problems that could threaten performance or availability of critical services. A built-in knowledge base provides detailed information on alert descriptions, resolution tactics and processing rules. Unicenter WSDM is the latest addition to CA's portfolio of end-to-end management solutions that help customers build enterprise-class reliability and security into their Web services applications and supporting infrastructure. By automatically discovering, testing and monitoring Web services, Unicenter WSDM enables IT organizations to closely track a full range of performance indicators and rapidly respond to service interruptions. "The Unicenter WSDM Management Pack for Microsoft Operations Manager will help MOM customers gain greater visibility in heterogeneous Web services environments," said David Hamilton, director of the Enterprise Management Division at Microsoft Corp.
