CACI Awarded Information Technology Contract to Support Military Health Systems

CACI International Inc today announced that it has been awarded a 10-year Defense Systems Integration, Design, Development, Operations and Maintenance Services (D/SIDDOMS) III contract to provide information technology support for the Military Health System (MHS). CACI anticipates the value of its tasking under this contract will be approximately $60 million. The total value of the multiple-award, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity D/SIDDOMS contract is estimated at $8 billion. The contract will be used by the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Department of Veterans Affairs to issue task orders in support of the IT needs of the vast DoD healthcare community. The award supports all of the company's core areas of expertise as well as its growing presence in the DoD healthcare services market. D/SIDDOMS covers hundreds of MHS systems, both battlefield and domestic, that store medical information for service members and their families. It includes provisions for maintaining and enhancing current systems, developing new systems, and networking systems for better information sharing. CACI has significant experience supporting military healthcare clients. Most recently, the company was awarded $60 million to support TRICARE, the program that delivers healthcare services to MHS beneficiaries. CACI also provides IT and related support to the Veterans Affairs' Healthcare Benefits Information Center and the Army Medical Command. CACI's systems integration and software expertise was also a key factor in the company's award. CACI software development processes are rated at Level 3 of the Software Engineering Institute's Capability Maturity Model, certifying that they meet strict requirements for quality and repeatability. Organizations rated at Level 3 have more successful project deliveries and score higher in client satisfaction. "CACI can provide the Military Health System with comprehensive support in all our core areas," said Ken Johnson, CACI President of U.S. Operations. "We bring a complete package of proven solutions for network services, information assurance, knowledge management, logistics, and more. Our company is positioned and ready to help MHS meet diverse needs effectively, on time, and within budget." Dr. J.P. (Jack) London, CACI Chairman, President, and CEO, said, "We are pleased to have this opportunity to work with the Department of Defense's Military Health System. We believe DoD healthcare is a growth sector in the federal government and that CACI solutions can play key roles in healthcare support. We are proud to have a chance to help not just our servicemen and women, but their families, in ways that are personal and important to them as they work to protect our nation and fight the war on terrorism."
