SC2003 Conference Advance Registration Deadline is Friday, Oct. 10
PHOENIX, AZ --- With the SC2003 conference less than two months away, there are two compelling reasons to register now for the Technical Program and Tutorials, and to reserve a hotel room. SC2003, the international conference on high-performance computing and networking, will be held Nov. 15-21 at the Phoenix Civic Plaza Convention Center in Arizona. The first reason is that Advance Registration closes Friday, Oct. 10 – after that the fees for the Technical Program registration and Tutorials will go up significantly. Registering in advance for the Technical Program can save up to $170 for ACM and IEEE members and $205 for non-members. Buying a two-day Tutorials passport by Oct. 10 costs just $595 for members or $755 for non-members, while the late-registration cost will be $825 and $1,035 respectively. To qualify for the lower rates, registration and payment must be received by 5 p.m. (Eastern time) Friday, Oct. 10. Online registration (http://www.sc-conference.org/sc2003/registration.html) is available for all aspects of the SC2003 conference. This year's technical program includes 60 technical papers, eight panel discussions and a series of Masterworks sessions. Visionaries and well-known leaders will speak on the state of high-performance computing and participate in lively panel discussions. There will also be 29 full and half-day tutorials, offered at an additional fee. The complete technical program is now available in the online advance program at http://www.sc-conference.org/sc2003/inter_cal/ . The format allows attendees to create their own custom schedule for the conference. The second reason is that hotel rooms are going fast. If you haven’t booked your hotel room for SC2003 yet and want to be sure you’re staying in a hotel served by conference shuttle buses to the convention center, make your reservation now. Almost all room blocks held by the conference are sold out and while new hotels may be added, they will be located further from the convention center. Conference-sponsored shuttle buses will only serve hotels listed on the SC2003 hotels web pages (http://www.sc-conference.org/sc2003/hotel.html). Only three hotels -- the Hyatt Regency, Wyndham Phoenix and Ramada Inn – are within easy walking distance of the convention center. To qualify for the guaranteed conference rate, reservations must be made by 4 p.m. Friday, October 10, 2003 (Mountain Standard Time). For questions or concerns only, phone: 602-452-6262 (USA) or 602.452.6269 (Intl), or email hsgcoor@visitphoenix.com For more information about SC2003, go to http://www.sc-conference.org/sc2003/ . SC2003 is sponsored by the Association for Computing Machinery's Special Interest Group on Computer Architecture (ACM/SIGARCH) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Computer Society.
