CACI Executive Vice President Carson Morris Elected To Board of Directors

ARLINGTON, Va. -- CACI International Inc announced that Executive Vice President Carson Morris has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Association of Former Intelligence Officers (AFIO). Mr. Morris, CACI's Director of Homeland Defense Initiatives, works closely with CACI's senior management team in focusing the company's response to new federal needs in the fight against international terrorism. His election to the AFIO Board confirms the leadership commitment CACI offers in its support of America's Homeland Defense. The AFIO is a non-profit association of former intelligence professionals and supporters. Its principal objective is to promote a strong and responsible national intelligence/counterintelligence establishment capable of responding to the threats of the new defense era. Within this context AFIO stresses education on the need for effective, long-term intelligence strategies to support national decision-makers and to guard against surprise. In joining AFIO's Board of Directors, Mr. Morris will have an opportunity to interact with national figures in the intelligence community as well as with the AFIO's Honorary Board of Directors, whose membership includes such notable leaders as former Presidents George H.W. Bush and Gerald R. Ford. In addition to ensuring CACI capabilities are brought to bear on homeland security issues and counter-terrorism threats, Mr. Morris works with CACI leadership to support the company's strategic outlook, anticipating emergent and changing markets and keystone technologies. His background includes key positions with Intelsec Corporation, Systems and Applied Sciences Corporation, Analytics Corporation, and Burroughs Corporation. Since 1970, Mr. Morris has held advisory positions to government agencies and senior government officials, including consulting on special programs to the Under-Secretary of Defense for Policy and acting as advisor on Defense Intelligence Oversight. His knowledge of the collection and analyses of strategic intelligence and his operations experience with special programs is frequently called upon by the government. Patents granted in cryptographic technology and in computer architecture have recognized his engineering contributions. "We are extremely proud of Carson Morris and his contributions to our company," said Ken Johnson, CACI's President of U.S. Operations, "and we believe the Association of Former Intelligence Officers will greatly benefit from his leadership and experience. Carson's familiarity with intelligence issues has provided us with significant assistance in bringing emerging technologies and their potential applications to the federal government's attention." CACI Chairman and CEO Dr. J.P. (Jack) London, said, "In supporting our intelligence community and promoting education on intelligence matters, the work done by the Association of Former Intelligence Officers is more important than ever. And CACI, with the able support of leaders like Carson Morris, is contributing our expertise with solutions for information dominance, the better collection and analysis of data and mining of knowledge, and technologies that have and will play a vital role in protecting our nation."
