Ethernet Alliance Announces New Board Member

Ethernet Alliance members participate in BSRIA 10GbE market research study: The Ethernet Alliance, an industry group dedicated to the continued success and expansion of Ethernet technology, announced the election of Dan Dove, of ProCurve Networking by HP, to the Board of Directors. Dove has worked at ProCurve for more than 25 years, where he rose from a production assembler and various manufacturing and design positions, to his current title as a principal engineer for LAN physical layer (PHY) devices. He is currently responsible for ProCurve’s PHY strategy, PoE system architecture, and IEEE 802.3 standards representation. Dove served as 10GBASE-CX4 chair and has been a very active participant in Ethernet standards development. “Dan Dove’s experience with system architecture and standards development provides invaluable insight to the needs and directions of the Ethernet industry,” said Brad Booth, president, Ethernet Alliance. “We are pleased to welcome Dan to the Ethernet Alliance Board of Directors.” Ethernet Alliance Members Participate in 10GbE Study The Ethernet Alliance also announces that its members were asked to participate in a survey as part of the Building Services Research and Information Association (BSRIA) market research study on 10 Gigabit Ethernet and the data center. The Ethernet Alliance survey was conducted to help BSRIA expand its current market study of cabling in buildings.
