ESRI and Soluziona Join Forces to Expand GIS Potential in Utility Market

ESRI, the leading developer of geographic information system (GIS) software, and Soluziona, a leading international technology and professional services company, today announced an agreement to integrate their respective software solutions to better serve the electric utility market. They will work together, to integrate ESRI's ArcGIS technology with Soluziona's Open Utilities solution suite and, through joint sales and marketing efforts, introduce these solutions to both the United States and international markets. This will provide utility companies with better enterprise asset management capability, from network planning and design to operations and service restoration. "The opportunity to partner with a leading distribution management system supplier is one that I am particularly excited about," says Jack Dangermond, president of ESRI. "Soluziona's concept of bringing together operations and asset management will provide key value to utilities worldwide." "I am very pleased about teaming with ESRI, the GIS industry leader, to offer the next generation of distribution management solutions using ArcGIS technology. Together, we can help utility companies fully develop their projects while they benefit from the synergy between our complementary products," says Vicente Bayarri, president and CEO of Soluziona in North America.
