Voltaire, a leading provider of high performance InfiniBand solutions, today announced that it has significantly expanded its channel sales for the high performance computing (HPC) market. The company has signed agreements with eight resellers for the distribution of Voltaire's InfiniBand cluster solutions to HPC customers in the U.S. and Japan. The new resellers are Abba Technologies, Advanced Clustering Technologies, APPRO, Atipa Technologies, GraphStream, GMRI, Puget Sound Data Systems and BestSystems in Japan. As the demand for InfiniBand clusters continues to accelerate in the HPC community, Voltaire is bolstering its distribution channel to augment its direct sales efforts to universities, engineering labs and industry. In October 2003, Voltaire announced that Mississippi State University (MSU) and Sandia National Laboratories purchased Voltaire's advanced InfiniBand connectivity solutions to support their large, general-purpose clusters. Voltaire's InfiniBand solutions, featuring advanced I/O and management capabilities, enable advanced computing facilities like MSU and Sandia to significantly improve the performance and efficiency of server clusters for HPC applications.
