POWAY, Calif. – Promicro today introduced the ProServer 4430 Intel® Itanium® 2-based server. The ProServer 4430 enables businesses to seamlessly manage large volumes of data across multiple operating platforms. The server maximizes IT investment dollars and provides superior performance for enterprise applications such as business intelligence, large databases, security transactions, enterprise resource planning, and supply chain management. With 6.4 GB/sec system bus bandwidth and 3MB integrated L3 cache, the Itanium 2 processor offers high transaction processing performance at lower costs than proprietary platforms, which translates into higher overall business productivity and a healthy return on investment. Scalability and ample headroom provide investment protection as computing requirements grow. The ProServer 4430 is available with Intel Itanium 2 processor speeds of 1 GHz or 900 MHz and is based on the Intel® E8870 chipset to offer enhanced error detection, correction and containment.
