SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Pharmaceutical Care Network (PCN), a pharmacy benefits management company, today announced the release of Analytical Guide (AG) Pro 2.0, a web-based query and reporting tool upgrade designed to allow users to analyze pharmacy claims data via the Internet. PCN's new system employs a selection of the leading Business Intelligence (BI) vendor with Microsoft(R) Enterprise Server running on high-end servers resulting in a substantial performance increase over the previous version. Available as part of PCN's pharmacy benefits services or as a stand-alone product, AG Pro 2.0 provides trend analysis data of pharmacy claims files that influence decisions for plan design, formulary management and quality patient care. The program provides pre-defined reports that analyze account, controlled Rx, drug use, and patient, pharmacy and prescriber information, along with flexible ad hoc query design capabilities. Newly added features in AG Pro 2.0 allow users to launch multiple reports simultaneously and to be notified via email when reports are ready to view, allowing them to exit the system without having to maintain an interactive session and to return to other tasks.
