ANSYS Selects RESINATE as Enhanced Solution Partner

CANONSBURG, Pa. -- With the aim of providing additional complementary software to its core product offering, ANSYS Inc. today announced it has accepted RESINATE, the leader in automated material selection, into the ANSYS Enhanced Solution Partner (ESP) program. The program is a strategic initiative that allows world-class companies with specialized software packages to integrate their products with ANSYS(R) simulation software. RESINATE's core product, RMA (RESINATE Materials Advisor), integrates seamlessly into leading 3-D CAD environments including Autodesk Inventor, Pro/ENGINEER and SolidWorks. RMA allows design engineers to make plastic selection decisions with a series of mouse clicks, thereby eliminating several days per month from the typical product development cycle. Automation of material selection empowers engineers to quickly compare and then select materials regardless of their experience levels. "RMA has automated the delivery of critical FEA data from the design stage directly to the ANSYS product suite. This function of RMA allows the developer to save the material of choice directly to the part, facilitating downstream collaboration with ANSYS. This type of technology has received a tremendous amount of interest from MCAD users around the globe," said Timothy R. Steele, president of RESINATE. "We are dedicated to building strategic partnerships with leading firms in the CAD industry and are honored to be partnered with such a fast growing, exciting company like ANSYS." "We are pleased to add RESINATE to our Enhanced Solution Partner program," said Mike Wheeler, vice president and general manager of the mechanical business unit at ANSYS Inc. "RMA is a robust, time-saving product that aligns well with our product vision. When combined with ANSYS technology, RESINATE is part of a compatible, enterprise-wide system that facilitates a better, faster, cheaper and collaborative development cycle for companies." The ESP Program encourages specialized developers of complementary software to use ANSYS as a development platform for their applications. Integration with ANSYS ensures a consistent graphical user interface, along with file and data compatibility across a comprehensive product line and multiple computer platforms.
