IBM Ranked Number One in Application Management Services Market Share
IBM announced that IT analyst firm International Data Corporation (IDC) has ranked IBM number one in Application Management Services market share, as measured by revenue, in its report, "Worldwide and U.S. Application Management Services 2010 Vendor Shares: IDC's Top 10 Vendors."
According to the IDC report, IBM swept the three Application Management Services (AMS) categories, ranking #1 in Worldwide Discrete, #1 in U.S. Discrete, and #1 in Worldwide Consolidated (Discrete + Bundled).
The report states that IBM leads in both Worldwide and U.S. Discrete market share, with double-digit year-over-year growth in both categories. According to the report, IBM continued to hold a significant lead in Consolidated AMS revenue, offering market-leading integrated or discrete service options to help clients address efficiency, cost, and portfolio modernization options.
