Lancope Partners with PSI Inc. to Expand Reach of Flow-Based Network Performance and Security Monitoring Solution

Lancope has announced that PSI will deliver Lancope's StealthWatch System to the Japanese market. By leveraging NetFlow and other flow data from existing routers and switches, StealthWatch provides cost-effective, end-to-end visibility for faster troubleshooting and more secure, high-performance networks. PSI Inc. has recently achieved full partner accreditation status with Lancope, having successfully completed the company's partner certification program.

"Since 1975, we have been delivering the world's most advanced network and security technologies to customers in Japan," said Mitsuhiro Yamazaki, president and CEO of PSI Inc. "Not relying on signature updates to detect attacks, and also providing in-depth insight into network performance statistics, Lancope's StealthWatch is a perfect fit for our innovative distribution portfolio. We look forward to helping our customers leverage flow data for vastly improved network and security operations."

StealthWatch fills in the gaps between other network and security technologies to provide higher levels of security, availability and performance. In addition to detecting zero-day attacks that often bypass perimeter defenses, StealthWatch also uncovers insider threats such as policy violations, network misuse, device misconfigurations and data leakage not detected by traditional systems.

StealthWatch is scalable to meet the needs of even the largest networks, analyzing up to 3 million flows per second, and also provides visibility into virtual networks, enabling organizations to embrace the latest technologies and trends without sacrificing network performance or security. Advanced features including application and identity awareness, as well as automatic threat prioritization and mitigation, also make the system ideal for supporting forensic investigations and compliance initiatives.

"A region marked by such fast-paced technology adoption requires an innovative means of safeguarding network security and performance without hindering the use of cutting-edge devices and applications," said Steve Simpson, director of international sales and operations for Lancope. "The Japanese market has also seen increasingly stringent compliance requirements over the past several years, further necessitating comprehensive network and security monitoring. By collecting and analyzing flow data from existing systems, StealthWatch unobtrusively monitors all network traffic to quickly pinpoint and remediate risks without affecting performance."

Lancope has made great inroads into the Japanese market, working with customers including the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology and the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan. With the support and expertise of PSI, Lancope expects to experience even further success in this market. PSI will distribute the full portfolio of Lancope products, including the StealthWatch Management Console, FlowCollector, FlowSensor, FlowReplicator and IDentity appliances.
