Hundreds of software and information industry executives honored their peers at the 19th annual presentation of the Software & Information Industry Association's Codie Awards. At a black-tie dinner and ceremony at the Palace Hotel, 44 Codie Awards were presented to representatives of winning software, education technology and digital content companies. Best Distributed Computing Solution: Tsunami, TenFold Corporation. This year, over 600 companies submitted more than 800 nominations -- a record-breaking year for the Codie Awards. First round judging was completed by a broad panel consisting of representatives from the industry trade press, mainstream technology writers and industry experts and analysts. Second round judging was based on votes from SIIA members. Member companies are allotted one vote per company in each Codie Award category. A new logo and custom-designed trophy were also unveiled at the gala. "This 19th Annual Codie Awards continues our tradition of celebrating the best in the software and information industry," said Ken Wasch, President of SIIA. "Being a finalist among so many nominees is a solid achievement. Actually winning a Codie Award is a high honor.
