CESGA deploys new infrastructure for supercomputing
On Tuesday May 31, at 13:00 pm in the Center Galicia Supercomputing, CESGA President and CEO of I + D + i of the Department Economics and industies the Xunta de Galicia, Chapel Ricardo Pueyo, and ADG Infrastructure Planning Science and Technology, Ministry of Science and Innovation Government of Spain, José Doncel Morales will present the newly updated Supercomputer Virtual Gallego, SVG, which facilitates research in Genomics, Molecular Dynamics and Drug Design.
The extension has been made possible through the Call for Aid ICTS Ministry of Science and Innovation that complement the investments made by CESGA through contributions from the Xunta de Galicia and the Higher Council for Scientific Research, CSIC.
The update can unsubscribe depreciated equipment and technology, achieving greater energy efficiency. Also, it will facilitate better organization of users work according to their computational requirements.
