Imation to Exhibit, Present RDX Storage at 2011 Creative Storage Conference in Culver City, Calif.

Imation's newly announced RDX A8 Hard Disk Storage Library will be showcased at Booth No. 4 during the fifth annual Creative Storage Conference in Culver City, Calif. on June 28. In keeping with the conference theme of "Content Storage Drivers in the Studio and in the Cloud," Imation's Rusty Rosenberger, global product director, SMB storage, will also share his insight about the storage system's high-performance backup, data protection, archiving, restoration and cloud-enabling applications, relative to the film and movie-making industry.

The RDX A8 system is a scalable networked storage device that holds up to eight RDX cartridges of interchangeable capacities. The autoloader-like device offers iSCSI network connectivity; up to 8 terabytes of native capacity storage using eight 1TB cartridges; table-top or 2U high rackmount configuration; remote management interface; and enterprise-class throughput. Earlier in 2011, RDX technology crossed a major milestone with shipments of more than 1 million cartridges.

Rosenberger will present during the "Content Archiving and Asset Management" session on Tuesday, June 28 at 3:45 p.m., and will discuss the RDX A8 system and its use as both primary storage during the editing process and for secondary storage and archiving applications. Rosenberger leads Imation's global product management and marketing for SMB storage and has more than 25 years experience in high-tech industries, and is a former chairman of the board of directors of the Optical Storage Technology Association (OSTA).

The Creative Storage Conference is a one-day conference and exhibit that brings together vendors, end users, researchers and visionaries to discuss growing demand for digital storage and content capture, editing, archiving and content distribution.
