Fluke Networks Announces Fiber QuickMap for Enterprise Network Fiber Troubleshooting of Most Common Failures
Fluke Networks announced the release of Fiber QuickMap, a new fiber troubleshooter for enterprise network technicians which provides immediate visibility into the most common causes of failure and poor performance in data center fiber networks, including high-loss events like breaks in multimode fiber.
"Our customers are truly the designers of this product," said David Veneski, business unit director, Fluke Networks. "Worldwide, our customers have expressed continued need for a host of tools at both ends of the spectrum – but for day-to-day trouble they wanted something more in the middle in terms of troubleshooting capability for enterprise network technicians. Fiber QuickMap meets that demand."
The response from customers is already positive. "Right out of the box, Fiber QuickMap is easy to use and provides the right set of features for efficient and cost effective troubleshooting," said Robert Ried, product development manager for Panduit. "Fiber QuickMap rapidly identifies cable performance issues. We're very impressed with this time-saving device that will allow our contractors to minimize time onsite."
Fiber QuickMap is part of family of products from Fluke Networks focused on fiber testing and analysis. "By 2013, the Gartner Group predicts that more than 25 percent of the content that workers see daily, will be dominated by pictures, video or audio," Veneski said. "As this translates into a need more bandwidth and increases the use of fiber, Fiber QuickMap and our other enterprise fiber solutions ensure we're continually raising the bar by providing tools with the most timely mix of troubleshooting capabilities."
