ParAccel Announces Upgrade to Its Leading Database Analytics Platform

ParAccel announced the latest version of its core technology. ParAccel Analytic Database 3.1 (PADB 3.1) introduces analytic integration, a critical technology direction integral to the company’s long-term strategy. With analytic integration, analysts can now address their most complex challenges by incorporating the widest range of analytic tools and data sources into PADB 3.1, which can then serve as the analytic hub of the organization.

“ParAccel’s analytic integration strategy is a key element for supporting the analytics-driven enterprise,” said Shawn Rogers, vice president of research for business intelligence and data warehousing at Enterprise Management Associates. “By integrating all data and analytic tools across the enterprise, organizations can leverage their existing information assets and enable their analytic users to make the most informed business decisions.”

ParAccel also introduced enhanced disaster recovery capabilities and continues to build on its industry-leading analytic performance. In addition, ParAccel announced that it is aggressively hiring engineers in its Silicon Valley and San Diego facilities and in the field to support and extend the company’s pace of innovation and customer-centric focus.

“In November 2010, ParAccel further raised the bar in the analytic database market by redefining performance and extensibility with the introduction of PADB 3.0,” commented Barry Zane, founder and CTO, ParAccel. “Now, with this latest version, we continue to push the boundaries of what is possible by delivering true analytic integration that combines all data sources and data types within one powerful analytic query. We are accelerating our pace of innovation and are laser-focused on redefining the technical capabilities of complex analytics.”

The new features and enhancements in PADB 3.1 include:

  • Analytic integration capabilities: Through seamless integration with other data sources and analytic systems, customers and organizations can now combine all internal and external data sources, both structured and unstructured, to maximize their return on investment. PADB 3.1’s initial offerings include high performance parallel connectors for legacy databases and Hadoop along with a flexible framework for integrating any proprietary or standard data source.
  • Enhanced disaster recovery capabilities: PADB 3.1 introduces online, incremental backup and restore capabilities as well as increased uptime.
  • Significant performance leadership: PADB 3.1 platform builds upon its existing industry-leading performance - delivering up to 20 times faster execution of complex analytics queries. Enhancements to the Omne Optimizer, Storage and Networking Subsystems are also included in the new version of PADB 3.1.

Based on the success of ParAccel’s technology, the company is also increasing its corporate headcount in Silicon Valley and San Diego as well as worldwide staffing across all disciplines with an emphasis on engineering and sales.
